British Library Accepts The Silence Between Two Heartbeats for Its Collection

The curator’s acceptance

The British Library accepted the author’s offer to donate The Silence Between Two Heartbeats. In correspondence dated 7 October 2026, the Donations Team relayed a curator’s acceptance and asked the author to send the book so that it could be added to the collection.

This records a collection-acceptance decision. It does not establish that the copy had already been received, processed or published in the public catalogue on that date.

The latest processing update

On 6 November 2026, the Donations Team explained that the shipment had been addressed to the Legal Deposit Office and that a backlog could delay locating and routing it. The team said donated books follow a different route into the public catalogue.

The supported status is therefore accepted for addition to the collection, with routing and catalogue processing pending at the latest update. No British Library catalogue number is asserted. Acceptance does not imply endorsement or a published review.

Evidence and access

The evidence is correspondence received by the author from the British Library Donations Team, reviewed for this page. The dated summary is published here; private email headers, personal contact details and the full email thread are not public catalogue evidence. Editorial verification enquiries may be sent through the site’s media contact.
